Terms & Conditions
The following terms and conditions apply to all orders for the purchase of goods from the RSPCA Gifts Online shop, with the exception of RSPCA Truly Special Gifts as these are classed as donations. For further information on how funds from our RSPCA Truly Special Gifts are allocated please read the product description when purchasing.

The contents of this site are the property of RSPCA, and are protected by the UK and international copyright laws. These contents include but are not limited to the following: website design, graphics, text, visual clips, audio clips, logos and button icons, including the selection and arrangement thereof. ALL RIGHTS RESERVED.
Permission is granted to electronically copy and to print the content in hard copy for the purpose of placing an order. Any other use of the online shop, without the prior permission of the RSPCA, is strictly prohibited. The following are therefore expressly forbidden unless written consent has been given: reproduction for any other purpose than those referred to above, modification, distribution, transmission, broadcast republication, downloading or uploading of any part of this website.
Trading Registered Company/Charity Numbers
All profits made from the sales of goods on RSPCA Animalternative gifts are paid to the RSPCA (registered charity number in England and Wales 219099).
Our Contract
When you place order online to purchase a product from RSPCA Gifts we will send you an e-mail confirming receipt of your order and containing your order details. Your order represents an offer to us to purchase a product which is accepted by us when we deliver the product to you. If there are any products on the same order that are not delivered to you, these will not form part of that contract.
Description of the Goods
RSPCA Gifts take all reasonable care to ensure that details, descriptions and prices of products appearing on the website are correct at the time when the relevant information was entered onto the system. RSPCA Gifts reserve the right to refuse orders where product information has been incorrectly published, including prices and promotions.
RSPCA Donations
Donations made to the RSPCA (including our Animalternative Charity Gifts) do not support animal welfare activities in Scotland. If you wish to support the Scotish SPCA you can make a contribution here: http://www.scottishspca.org/
Availability
The supply of goods from this website is subject to availability and it is not always possible for RSPCA Gifts to inform you at the time you place your order if the goods you want are still available for purchase. In the case of an item being out of stock a carefully selected alternative may be sent, or a refund may be given.
As we are continually improving the design of our products, some product specifications may vary slightly from descriptions on this website. When you submit your order you are allowing RSPCA Trading Ltd to use your personal details to fulfil your order. In the event that there is a problem with your order, we will communicate with you via e-mail, telephone or letter.
Delivery
All products can only be delivered to addresses within the UK. To offer the best possible delivery prices, postage is calculated per individual order and sent by first class post. No charge is made for picking and packing your order.
All items will be delivered by Royal Mail.
All items to be delivered in the UK will be despatched within 5 working days of our receiving your order. In addition, all Truly Special Gifts have a downloadable pack which can be can be accessed within minutes of purchasing.
Cancellation, Refunds, Returns & Satisfaction Guarantee
I'm sorry to inform you that because RSPCA Animalternative Virtual Gifts count as a donation, we are unable due to Charity Commission rules to give you a refund. We can however offer you a replacement RSPCA Animalternative Virtual Gift of the same or very similar value. Please contact us if you want to do this at: gifts@rspca.org.uk
However, if you have ordered a "real" physical gift and it is faulty, you have a 7 day 'cooling off' period from the day you receive your goods, in which time please notify us that you wish to cancel your contract with us. A FULL refund will be given, including any original delivery charges.
If the goods have already been dispatched and it is simply a 'change of heart' then the return delivery costs will be borne by the customer.

I've received a faulty item, what can I do?
In the event of you receiving faulty or damaged goods (whether there's something wrong with a physical gift, or the card or ecard you ordered has arrived corrupted or with the wrong information), you should inform us immediately so that we can arrange an exchange or refund as required (with no extra cost to yourself). Contact us by email gifts@rspca.org.uk
Upon returning the item, we would advise you to obtain a proof of postage as the RSPCA is not responsible for returns until they are received within our returns department.
Your rights to return goods are protected under the EU Distance Selling Directive which can be found at www.hmso.gov.uk/si/si2000/20002334.htm
Security
When submitting your order you are agreeing to the purchase of goods and to allowing RSPCA Gifts to use your personal data for the purpose of supplying the goods. For further information on privacy and security please see the Privacy & Security page.
When you place your order you are automatically connected to our secure server using SSL encryption technology. This ensures that the information you send cannot be read by anyone apart from our ecommerce team.
To check you are in a secure area of our site please look at the bottom of your browser and you will see a closed padlock.
Losses
We will not be responsible for any business loss (including loss of profits, revenue, contracts, anticipated savings, data, goodwill or wasted expenditure) or any other indirect or consequential loss even if the loss was reasonably foreseeable to both you and us when you commenced using the website or when the contract for the sale of goods was formed. However, the RSPCA and RSPCA Trading Ltd does not limit in any way our liability by law for death or personal injury caused from our negligence or breach of duty or caused by our gross negligence or wilful misconduct.
Alteration of Service or Amendments to the Conditions
We reserve the right to make changes to our website, policies, and these Terms and Conditions of Purchase at any time. You will be subject to the policies and Terms and Conditions of Purchase in force at the time that you use the website or that you order goods from us, unless any change to those policies or these conditions is required to be made by law or government authority (in which case it will apply to orders previously placed by you). If any of these conditions are deemed invalid, void, or for any reason unenforceable, that condition will be deemed severable and will not affect the validity and enforceability of any remaining condition.
Events Beyond Our Reasonable Control
We will not be held responsible for any delay or failure to comply with our obligations under these conditions if the delay or failure arises from any cause which is beyond our reasonable control. This condition does not affect your statutory rights.
Governing law and Jurisdiction
These conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the England and Wales. You agree, as we do, to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts. RSPCA VAT registration number is (210 702 425).
RSPCA is a charity registered in England and Wales charity no 219099.
Special Offers and Discounts
Offers and discounts do not apply to RSPCA Membership, good natured (virtual) gifts, binoculars, telescopes or products already reduced in price (eg sale items) unless specified. Only one offer is available per purchase. (In the online shop, offers requiring a code to be quoted in the shopping basket are limited to one offer per order.) Staff and volunteer discounts are not available in conjunction with other offers. Product specific offers are only available while stocks last.
Data Protection
As supporters are our most valuable asset we protect their details as required by UK Data Protection Act 1998 and subsequent legislation.
We follow strict security procedures in storage and disclosure of information that you have given us, to prevent unauthorised access. Our security procedures mean that we may occasionally request proof of identity before we are able to disclose information to you. If you place an order and do not wish us to use your details, you may tick the appropriate boxes, which feature in the registration and ordering processes, before completing the purchase.
